  1. Put dishes, pots, pans, cooking implements, utensils into dishwasher, took out, inspected for leftover particles, dried, put away.
  2. Set meals onto cart, handed out to residents

  1. Put popcorn into popper, added salt after popping.

Ride Operator – Six Flags

  1. Filled ride with people from queue and Disabled queue.
  2. Checked belts and safety devices on people were correctly done and ready

  4. Watched ride for unsafe actions from people, and unsafe ride conditions
  5. Helped people embark/disembark and look for left items.
  6. Tested rides for appropriate ride safety and conditions 3x per day.
  7. When ride became unsafe/warning light, shut down ride and immediately called for service and supervisor.

  • Collaborated and worked with 2 conventions in the USA, one being a 22,000 person anime (mostly teenagers) focused convention (Assistant manager in a small department), the other being communicative collaboration for two conferences that focuses on science, skepticism, and critical thinking.
  • Given speeches to 2 colleges in St. Louis on the topic of a Visibility and Education network for a little-known populace.
  • Typing 75wpm, general office experience using copiers (and fixing them), computers of all Windows OS and more, office phone systems (lightly), standard Office suite products.
  • Set up LLCs for two companies.
  • Experience with calling governmental agencies of both the USA and Japan, getting and submitting documentation for USDA procedures for import/export of animals.
  • Started document review and correction for Tokyo University professor at Gakushuin University, expanding to PPT and presentation correction for professor and some of his students and colleagues.
  • Managed multiple 200-20,000 person groups online. Daily duties included conflict resolution, customer service, planning future needs of the group, general control operations, writing for community awareness.
  • Working with the Minatomirai train line based in Yokohama Japan. Design and English support, writing, communicating foreigner needs, testing.

Marketing

  • Marketed to potential customers for painting business, along with marketing for paint companies for specific products.
  • Marketing in a previous business. Involved a lot of direct marketing (fliers on cars, advertisement booths).
  • Marketed college to high school students and adults interested in taking classes.

Teaching

  • Ran classes at Lowe’s Home Improvement on how to do specialty painting techniques, teaching to adults.
  • Taught machine operation to new coworkers and even customers. Maintained the machines as needed (I was often the only one who could do general repair on them). Learned how to operate a forklift as well.
  • Hosted a student from Germany with an exchange program, and was hosted by two families in return during my own exchange. Practical language exchange.
  • Volunteered for three years with a children’s discovery house/center.
  • Taught English to Korean high school students for 2-month contract via online Skype-like program. BT English was the company name.
  • Hosted a conversation English server for students which increased the level of students by 1 grade level within 2 months.

  • Taught 1-1 private lessons for English conversation (pronunciation, writing, and listening focus) outside work environment.

Disability

  • Worked with/taught Autistic children for a short time. Also, deaf children. Multiple small instances, 3-6 months each.
  • Wrote a published paper about ESL techniques used for people with specific reading disorders. There is also an ongoing case study being written and videos to accompany it.
  • Made a documentary with Japanese and English subtitles about the reading disorder above, submitted to Sundance Festive 08/17.
  • Provided and serviced manual wheelchairs to 2 Lowe’s stores.
  • Bought, sold, repaired wheelchairs (sporty and manual hospital-style) to keep serviceable secondary wheelchairs on the market.
  • Sewed wheelchair cushion covers (replacements) to put air-based cushions back onto the market.

Technology

  • Built computers for myself and family (some used for business) for 15 years, repaired, upgraded, some laptop repair/upgrade.
  • Used technology (touch screen TV, connected computer, wifi audio system) to show videos, demonstrations, etc to students to increase understanding of useful English.
  • Used tablet, connected to TV, and wifi audio system to demonstrate to students, allowing fun activities and games and even performed songs to communicate higher level concepts (such as similies, hyperbole, and Main Idea).
  • Made specialty videos for students using their book’s English, to show the English in a more “natural” use, using game characters and background from a popular game.
  • Voice recording along with “gaming” computer for video making – including special effects.
  • Learned Cinema4d (a 3d graphics /animation program) 3d creation of characters, backgrounds, special effects. Editing using Sony Vegas, Premiere
  • Game development in the area of character modeling, facial real-time animation, manual animation, asset creation, organization of files and data management.

Extra Studies

  • 120 hour TEFL certification plus over 4000 hours of class teaching time, 1-35 students per class.

  • Started professorship study into brain science, specifically on reading disorders and using certain ESL techniques to work with disabled individuals, wrote published paper.
